Kane, God of Life and Light

Kane, the God of Creation and Light comes through the gateway of the rising sun at Ha’eha’e the easternmost point in the Hawaiian islands, He is the most revered of the four primal gods and it is in his tribute that most Hawaiians like to position the doors of their home facing east.

Kane’s Symbol

The symbol named Kahekili Naue Ika Honua is one of Kane's manifestations; and as the God of Thunder as well, when Kane sends lightning from the heavenly plane, the thunder drives out all the earth-bound spirits by giving the earth a good shake. Consequently, this symbol is useful in clearing out lower energies and do away with negative emotions such as confusion, sadness or even frustration and stasis.
