It's the fourth of July 2009 two hundred and thirty three years since we marked the beginning of our independence. This should be a time of celebration and this should be a time for reflection of what we have done as a whole to get to this point in our short history as a country. During this weekend celebration we should understand the true meaning of what this day stands for and the people that started a movement that formed a nation, based on a solid understanding of what it meant to be free.
The fourth of July for some people is just another day, for some it’s just a long weekend to party more, and for some it’s more time with their family and away from work. The meaning of the fourth of July varies from person to person in the United States of America. Through the years it has slowly turned into something other than what it truly is.
The fourth of July 1776 is the day we recognized as being a free nation of free people, as we progress as a nation it would behoove all of us to be aware of what is going on around us and to insure that the freedoms we were organized under remain in tacked for all who aspire to live in a free nation. We as a country, as states, as cities and towns, as individuals are a beacon of hope for all the world. What our country was founded on is felt around the world in one form or another, all people yearn to be free, and all people aspire to the thought of controlling their own destiny in this life. It is therefore our responsibility to up hold what it is this country was founded upon not by forcing it down someone else’s throat, but by keeping ourselves free, by keeping our nation tied closely to the ideologies that were laid out in the beginning, by ensuring that this great nation remains a beacon of freedom, where people can create their own destiny through the freedom of choice without the interference of oppressive forces. As we strengthen ourselves through the original tenets our country was founded upon we will empower others. If on the other hand we let our freedoms erode away into nothing then the hope of all individuals will be lost...
I am honored, grateful and realize how lucky I am to have been born in the United States of America. I also know the stewardship and responsibility I have to the true meaning of what The United States of America stands for and this is where I will firmly stand as a beacon for those that aspire to be free...
Thank you for taking the time to read this. I wish nothing but the very best for all and hope your life is filled with the beauty and excitement that is waiting for you around the corner... Peace...
