The Honolulu City Lights festivities will be complemented by decorative Christmas Wreaths from the City and County of Honolulu's 24th Annual Holiday Wreath contest. Crafted by island residents the wreaths will be on display in the John C. Lane Gallery of Honolulu Hale. This years theme is "Holiday Memories", in recognition of the 25th anniversary of Honolulu City Lights and the 50th anniversary of statehood. The exhibit is presented by the Mayor’s Office of Culture and the Arts.

Opening festivities start Saturday, December 5th 2009 at City Hall, followed by a month long holiday celebration to include the beautiful City Employees Christmas Tree Exhibit, Wreath displays, Gingerbread Houses, and strolling musicians and entertainment. Best of all for the kids, there is  a nightly visit with Santa!
