Kenny Loggins and Jimmy Messina, the most successful and iconic pop-rock duo of the ’70s, topped the charts with their smooth sounds and unforgettable hits, “Your Mama Don't Dance,” “A Love Song,” “House at Pooh Corner” and “Dannyʻs Song.” Most Mauians can sing along to the perennial local favorite, "Lahaina." The unexpected and unlikely return of Loggins & Messina has resulted from the two of them rebuilding a personal connection that was lost many years ago. “This is less about a musical reunion and more about reuniting a relationship that’s become more of a friendship than ever,” says Jimmy Messina. “It’s funny how our separate journeys have somehow brought us back around, into each others lives again,” Kenny Loggins says.
